Anglo-saxon and frankish weapons and armor
The mass of anglo-saxon and Frankish warriors were infantryman, who carried a shield and a dagger (a seax), often wore a helmet, and fought with spears, axes, and the single-bladed heavy weapon called variously the scamasax, scramasax, or long seax.
