Audumla
Audumla (or Audumbla) is a cow in Norse mythology that emerged from the melting ice at the same time as Ymir. Audumla fed Imir and all his descendants with her milk. Audumla herself fed by licking the salty blocks on the border of Niflheim. From the heat of her tongue from a block of salty ice emerged Bury, the progenitor of the Aesir. Apparently, she died when the blood of Ymir flooded the world.
