Australian boomerangs and shields
The boomerang is one of Australia's most unique and distinctive emblems. The main technological secret of the boomerang is not its curve, but the surface shape of its arms. The shields, like many forms of Aboriginal shields, wunda were used in fighting for protection against projectile weapons, such as spears and boomerangs.
