Balder
In Norse mythology, Baldr was one of the aces, the god of spring and light. He is son of the god Odin and the goddess Frigg, and has numerous brothers, such as Thor and Váli. In old high German mythology, the god was known as Balder ('Hero', or 'Prince'). Beautiful and just, he was the favorite of the gods. Most legends about him concern his death. Icelandic stories tell how the gods amused themselves by throwing objects at him, knowing that he was immune from harm.
