Indian fritillary

The Indian fritillary is a species of butterfly of the nymphalid or brush-footed family. It is usually found from south and southeast Asia to Australia. The head, legs and body are black; but this colour is obscured by orange-tawny markings. It also has a wide orange-tawny dorsal stripe.
