Palacio de Bellas Artes
The Palacio de Bellas Artes is a prominent cultural center in Mexico City. The palace has a mixture of a number of architectural styles. Art Nouveau dominates the exterior, and the inside is dominated by Art Deco, which was completed by Federico Mariscal. The main hall is covered by the Marotti glass and iron roof. In areas of the main hall, pre-Hispanic motifs done in Art Deco style, such as serpents’ heads on window arches and Maya Chaac masks on the vertical light panels distinguish this interior from its contemporaries.
